Product Warranty

At ruma, we ensure that all our furniture is free from defective materials and workmanship. Warranty periods vary by product, commencing from the date of delivery. Kindly refer to the table below for more information.

1. Claim Procedure

  • To make a claim, kindly email to customerservice@ruma-home.com with your order number, defective product photos and brief descriptions of the defects.

2. Limitations and Exceptions:

  • To preserve your rights under this warranty, proper care and usage are essential. This Warranty is not applicable if your ruma furniture is damaged by use of detergents, abrasives or other harsh cleaning agents.
  • Our Warranty does not cover damage resulting from negligence, abuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents: including (but not limited to) burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations or damage from pets.
  • Unless specifically stated otherwise, our Warranty does not apply if product is used outdoors.
  • Our Warranty does not cover damage where usage is involved in a commercial environment (e.g. restaurants, bars, hote>ls, offices, Airbnb and more). In this case, we are not liable for any accident during the course of business.
  • This Warranty will be voided in the case of any product modification by consumer or other parties not authorized by ruma.
  • Items marked as ‘AS-IS’ or any form of Display and Clearance items at the time of purchase is not covered by this Warranty.
  • Items not purchased directly from ruma is not covered by this Warranty.
  • ruma’s decision on all issues relating to complaints regarding defects, either of workmanship or materials, shall be final and conclusive. It shall be at ruma’s sole discretion for any decision to repair or have part(s) replaced.
  • For any item repaired or replaced under this limited Warranty, they will be covered by the limited Warranty only for the remainder of the original warranty period.
  • This Warranty covers manufacturing defects detected within the warranty period, the cost of material components, replacement parts, labor and transportation charges.
  • The level of comfort is subjective to the individual and will not be considered a manufacturing fault.
  • The Customer will cover in respect of manufacturing defects detected after the warranty period, the cost of material components and replacement parts, with all labor charges and transportation costs (if any).

Mattresses 5-15 Years Limited Warranty (refer to each models/brands) with exclusions:

  • Mattress fabric (including stains, burns, pilling, or loose covers)
  • Normal body indentations
  • Issues relating to comfort choice, ie the mattress is too firm or too soft. The level of comfort is subjective to the individual and will not be considered a manufacturing fault.
  • New mattress smell/odor
  • Refer to mattress brands’s warranty t&c as final 
Outdoor Furniture 365 Days Limited Warranty with exclusions:

  • Damage resulting from normal weathering (defined as exposure to sunlight, weather and atmosphere which may cause any colored surface to gradually fade, darken, chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains)
